Encore auréolé de son Prix Juno «Album de musique métal/hard de l'année» pour son album Synchro Anarchy, Voïvod annonce la parution le 21 juillet prochain de Morgöth Tales, un opus studio spécial pour son 40ème anniversaire. De nouveau enregistré et mixé par Francis Perron au RadicArt Studio, masterisé par Maor Appelbaum et réalisé par le groupe, cet opus comprend 9 chansons sélectionnées dans son vaste répertoire et (ré)enregistrées par la formation actuelle, ainsi que la nouvelle pièce-titre de l'album. À noter les réapparition pour l'occasion des compagnons de route Eric Forrest et Jason Newsted.
Dans le cadre des célébrations entourant son 40ème anniversaire, Voïvod a également donné cette fin de semaine à Eindhoven le coup d'envoi d'une tournée internationale d'envergure que la formation conclura au Québec au début de 2024.
